The advantages of Biofertilizer |
Biofertilizers can replace from 50 to 100% of chemical fertilizers, depending on the crop |
Plants are more healthy, more resistant to pests and diseases, and the amount of pesticides needed is significantly reduced when biofertilizers are applied |

NO3 -, which is contained in chemical fertilizers and can cause cancer, is significantly reduced |
Soil fertility significantly improves. |
The positive effect of biofertilizer is more pronounced when biofertilizers |
Waste produced biodegradable |
Nitrogen is a nutrient for the plant. The main nitrogen sources for plant nutrition are farm yard manure and inorganic nitrogen (urea). There is a lot of nitrogen in atmosphere (78%), but plants cannot uptake it directly.
There are so called nitrogen fixing bacteria, like Rhizobium, Azospirillum, Azotobacter, etc., which can uptake this atmospheric nitrogen (molecular nitrogen, N2) in rhizosphere of plants. These nitrogen fixing bacteria uptake molecular nitrogen, N2, as nutrient, and convert it into NH3, which plant can use it. This means plant can use inexhaustible nitrogen source too by a help of nitrogen fixing bacteria. These bacteria work like nitrogen fertilizer factory.
Nitrogen biofertilizer contains billions of nitrogen fixing bacteria in one kilo of fertilizer. Peat, a little sugar and water are a food for bacteria. Bacteria can multiply in this mixture, even when it's spread in the field.
